JIFSAN is set to conduct a training program in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in Guatemala City, Guatemala

JIFSAN collaborated with the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, the US Agency for International Development and the University of Guatemala to conduct a GAP train-the-trainers course in Guatemala. Thirty-seven people participated in the program, which featured an extended session on the first day led by Sandra Cruz from the US Food and Drug Administration, who provided a detailed overview of new proposed food safety rules. An industry visit was included to a packing facility for Fair-Fruit, a company that exports snow peas and other products to the U.S.
