JIFSAN Delivers Food Inspector Training Course in Malaysia
From September 30 through October 4, JIFSAN sent a team of instructors to Malaysia to offer our Food Inspector Training (FIT) course. The collaborator in-country was the Food Safety and Quality Division of the Ministry of Health-Malaysia, and the course was conducted at its International Food Safety Training Center in Klang, near Kuala Lumpur. We had approximately 40 course participants, all of whom are food inspectors in Malaysia. For the industry site visits, we observed the operations of a shrimp processor and a beverage manufacturer.
The team of instructors included Jim Rushing, JIFSAN Program Manager, George Evancho, Senior Fellow at JIFSAN, Michael Kravchuk, and Robert Crowell, both retired FDA workers and experts in the training of inspectors.
